“Sustainable design should not be a luxury but an affordable option for everyone”
We continually research and incorporate sustainable textile developments into our collections by prioritizing recycled materials and methods
that reduce water and energy, we are able to decrease our environmental footprint.
Ιn Greek mythology, Éther is one of the primordial deities. Éther is the personification of the “upper sky”. He embodies the pure upper air that the Gods breathe. According to some ancient myths, Sea was born from Ether and Day. Inspired by this story our team created an Eco lifestyle brand made with respect towards Mother Nature.
The majority of our swim styles and sportswear are produced using this regenerated nylon fiber econyl® gives a second life to discarded waste while helping to clean up our planet made from 100% recycled materials like fishing nets, fabric scraps and industrial plastics rescued from landfills and oceans all over the world.
It’s produced from the pulp of eucalyptus trees, it requires less water than other fabrics, and occurs in a “closed loop system” where up to 99.5% of dissolving agents can be reused. Only sustainably managed forests are used.
As the waste gets converted into recycled fabrics, there are lesser wastes to be disposed overall. Textile wastes would otherwise have fallen on land. Recycling reduces the waste disposed onto land. Recycled fabrics like polyester allow us to manufacture quality clothing, without animal cruelty and unsustainable resources. Sustainable practices of this sort are environment friendly.
Mother-of-pearl buttons, also known as nacre, are cut from linings of mollusk, oysters, abalone, and snail shells. The nacre lining is the same outer coating of pearls, thus the name “mother-of-pearl”. The material is strong, resilient, and naturally elegant. Sustainable buttons made from shells which otherwise would be discarded by the food industry.
Did you know that éther uses its leftover fabrics to create unique packaging material? This way we are able to utilize shreds, that otherwise would be of no use.
Instead of traditional screen printing, we digitally print our own textiles. A more eco-conscious process that substantially reduces water and electricity usage.
